Day 7-10: Neighbor of the Beast, Part 2

It could be her fist, it could be a baby's fist.  Japanese porn leaves it up to your imagination.  Kyoto TV.

Either her chesty bits are also censored, or we were too cheap to pay 500 yen to see it all.  We'll also leave that up to your imagination.  Kyoto TV.

A shrine near the Sanjusangen-do Temple, Kyoto.

A well inside the aforementioned shrine, Kyoto.

This thing might as well have "CUTE!" flashing in neon on top of it when it's taken out for drives.  Kyoto.

One of many bridges over Kamo River.  Note Kyoto tower in background.  Kyoto's abundance of short bridges and bicycles brought Amsterdam to mind.

A view of the main street leading up to the Yasaka Shrine (in background).  Kyoto.

This restaurant served 'fast food,' though it was much more.  It was just one dish of an enormous dumpling-like thing, covered with sweet sauce.  It was so good, I have to recollection of what it was.  Kyoto.

Some of the panels in the restaurant would put DJ Funk to shame.

I'd rather not try to explain this one.

Or this one.

Restaurant mascot outside of restaurant.

Traditional footwear store.  This one sold shoes at $120 a pair.  Kyoto.

Puppet play performed during a Gion Corner show, something put on especially for gaijin with short attention spans.  Kyoto.

The puppet's movement are manipulated by 2 people, imitating their kabuki counterparts.  Kyoto.

We spotted a maiko geisha on her way to a gig.  She was very pretty; too bad I didn't have the camera ready soon enough.  Here she is walking away.  Kyoto.

Menu for the green tea house we went to.  Even the desserts were made of green tea.  But there were also red bean & glutinous rice sweets.  Kyoto.

I ordered an ice cream assortment, frozen ice cream balls, and oranges.
